Peter, I was a professional computer programmer and software
engineer for 32 years. I've worked on robotics programming, data
communications and on military submarine related software. I can
assure you nobody was more logical and skeptical than I. I WOULD HAVE
been the first
to reject Homeopathy on purely logical grounds, and in fact
did when I first heard of it. It was only the unreasoning attacks
against it that impelled me to look at the pro Homeopathy side of the
argument and then make the discovery that there was solid science, and
overwhelming clinical evidence in its favor.
I can also assure you that it is not charlatanism
and I have made numerous citations of genuine scientists reporting on
their research, EVEN when that research leads them
to unexpected... and currently unexplainable results.
Again, the book "Impossible Cure" is suggested for you.
After reading that, you are welcome to continue your
skepticism, but will at least have some idea of what
Homeopathy is all about and why people turn to it,
often with startlingly successful results.
There are numerous Homeoapathic doctors getting
good results in treating autistic children and children with
Asberger's syndrome. Word of this has, of course, gotten
to concerned parents whose children have these disorders.

That explains it! Finally an answer to that agoe old question of why a
US Submarine can surface with uncanny accuracy under the only Japanese
Trawler in the entire pacific Ocean.
Whatever *agoe* is. |

So you started to believe it because people said that it was bullshit?
Do you believe in astrology?

As far as I can tell you have offered us one scientist who became a
believer (Ennis) on the basis of a single experiment, plus some
decayed minds like Rustrum Roy who might have been scientists once but
who had forgotten what science meant.

I know what homeopathy is all about, and I am quite aware of why
people think that it works for them. Astrology works too.

And as someone who is very close to a person with Asperger's, I can
assure you that sensible parents are appalled at the level of deceit
coming from those with "cures". And this includes the chelationists,
who are about as far from homeopaths as you can get.

One advantage I have found for the cordless keyboard and mouse that I
am using now is that they can be swept off the desk before the
PPPPPFFFFFTTTT!!!!! reflex peaks. The fall does less damage than the
tea (or even the Red Bull, depending on how late a night is planned).

To whom were you responding, Jan?
I made a specific comment about homeopathy and autism. How can that be
a diversion?
Just in case you missed what I said - homeopathy is just as useful as
a treatment for autism as it is for any other condition, and in fact
may be even twice as useful.

But there are *lots* of people who swear by it, and their
reasons are exactly the ones that you give for homeopathy.
So why are you so UNREASONINLY refusing to accept that
they are right?
